| Back SMART Samonas Quality Standards (SQS) version 1.1, Sept 2006 Summary I ) Definitions and terminology A) Standards of a Samonas Listening Protocol (SLP) B) Area of use, professional background and Samonas related training requirements C) Professional Conduct I) Definitions and terminlogy A) Standards of a Samonas Listening Protocol (SLP) Set treatment goals based on an assessment Choose Samonas Music Selections based on the treatment goals set Include a sequence to determine the clients optimal personal listening time in the beginning of the SLP Make adjustments based on observations - making progress with no or minor disruptions - showing signs of overstimulation, irritation, overload Document progress made, preferably with an assessment that is suitable as pre- and post-test Communicate & explain to the client - Intention/goals of the SLP - daily listening times, what music selection (ms), when to change ms. - instructions what to observe, what feedback you are looking for - if necessary: be specific about increasing/reducing daily listening time, when to stop listening - when & how to contact you - Equipment requirements Set limits - To the client: Explain handling of Samonas Recordings as specified in the "Letter of Intent" - As professional: Agree to the tems of the "Letter of Intent" and to the "Professional resource agreement" B) Area of use, professional background and Samonas related training requirements Use Samonas in area of professional expertise and experience only Work within one of the four Samonas categories of use only Check before starting: Is my Samonas related (and professinal) experience sufficient to work with this client? Get professional assistance if necessary USE of SLP suggested by SAI requires compliance with area A) and B) design of SLP additionally requires knowledge about - levels of Samonas Spectral Activation and their effects on the body/mind system - Samononas Music Selections and how to realate them to treatment goals set. - Structure of Samonas Listening Protocols the professional is required to keep himself informed about development, application guidelines and research of the Samonas Methode by providing a valid email address. C) Professional Conduct The professionals commits to work according to the standards set by the SQS - Agreement as soon as he has signed this agreement and as long as this agreement is published in the Samonas Therapist Database. The professional will request removal of the SQS-privilege as soon as the professional feels unable to comply with the standards of SQS. In case of a violation of one or more of the terms of the SQS-Agreement Samonas International - can remove the SQS privilege from the professional - and/or remove the name of the professional from the Samonas Therapist Database In this case the professionals authorization to use Samonas in professional context will be terminated |
